Computershop Refurbished Products – complete testing and certification
In this article, we show you how our certification process transforms used equipment into reliable refurbished products.
Reception and evaluation of products to be refurbished
The refurbishment process begins with checking the source from which the equipment originates. We only accept products from reputable companies, leasing, or corporate IT projects.
After reception:
- we check the physical condition (case, screen, keyboard, ports);
- we analyze the hardware configuration;
- we test the basic functionality (startup, BIOS, fans, sound, connectivity).
Any equipment that does not pass this stage is rejected or used only for spare parts.
Refurbishing the equipment
After evaluation, the products enter the hardware refurbishment process:
- complete cleaning inside and out;
- replacement of worn components (SSD, RAM, fans, batteries);
- screen check for dead pixels or uneven brightness;
- application of new thermal paste on the processor and GPU.
The goal is for each Computershop refurbished product to function 100% according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
Technical testing of refurbished products
Each of these refurbished products goes through a series of automated and manual tests, using professional tools:
- Memtest – checking the RAM memory;
- CrystalDiskInfo / SSD Test – checking the storage unit;
- CPU and GPU stress tests – testing stability;
- Testing USB, HDMI, LAN, Wi-Fi, audio ports;
- Screen and keyboard check.
Only equipment that passes all these tests receives the Computershop certification.
Refurbished Computershop Products – final certification
After testing, a licensed operating system (Windows Refurbished) is installed, updates are applied, and the final performance test is conducted. The product receives the label “Computershop Certified Refurbished”, the official guarantee that it is a fully functional and safe product to use.
Packaging and delivery
Before shipping, the product:
- is carefully packaged in protective boxes;
- receives all compatible accessories (cable, charger, adapter);
- is accompanied by a warranty certificate (12-36 months).
